What we do when we arrive
- ✓Make it safe first. Before anything else, we make the situation safe.
- ✓Find the fault and explain it. We diagnose the fault and explain what has happened in plain English.
- ✓Clear price before any repair. You get a clear price for the repair before any chargeable work starts.
- ✓Fixed on the spot where possible. Many faults can be fixed there and then, on the first visit.
- ✓Honest advice on the bigger picture. If the fault points to a wider problem, such as an ageing fuse board or deteriorating wiring, we will say so honestly and can quote for a consumer unit upgrade or rewiring. We will never pressure you into work you do not need.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly can you get to me?
It depends on the day and where you are. We are based in South Bristol, so for BS13, BS14, BS3, BS4 and BS41 we can often attend the same day. Call us and we will give you an honest arrival time straight away.
My fuse board keeps tripping. What should I do?
Unplug appliances on the affected circuit, then try resetting the switch. If it holds, one of the appliances is likely at fault. If it will not reset or trips again immediately, leave it off and call us; repeatedly forcing a tripping device can be dangerous.
How does pricing work for emergency call-outs?
Initial attendance is £140 + VAT (£168 inc VAT): up to around an hour on site to make things safe and find the fault, with many repairs done there and then. Bigger repairs are £320 + VAT for a half day or £620 + VAT for a full day, and you approve the price before any chargeable repair starts. Materials are extra and always itemised.
