BRISTOL PHOENIX GROUP

Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to work carried out by Bristol Phoenix Group Ltd ("we", "us"). By accepting a quotation or asking us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.

1. Quotations and estimates

Estimates and quotations are free and carry no obligation.

Where we provide a written quotation, the price we agree is the price you pay for the work described in it. Quotations are based on what we can see and what you tell us, and remain open for acceptance for 30 days unless the quotation says otherwise.

If we find anything unexpected once work has started, we stop, explain it, and agree any change with you before continuing. We do not carry out extra chargeable work without your agreement.

2. Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit or staged payments for larger projects, are set out on your quotation or invoice.

Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due on completion of the work. Materials remain our property until paid for in full.

3. Certification and guarantees

We are NAPIT approved. Notifiable electrical work is carried out to the current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and certificated, with certificates provided to you on completion.

Our workmanship is guaranteed. Products and materials we supply also carry any manufacturer's warranty that applies. Details of the guarantee that applies to your job are confirmed with your quotation.

Guarantees do not cover damage caused by misuse, alterations by others, or faults in parts of the installation we have not worked on.

4. Cancellations and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or move a booking, please give us as much notice as you can. We will always try to rearrange without charge.

If you are a consumer and you agreed the work away from our premises (for example at your home), you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work within that period and then cancel, you may be asked to pay for work already done and materials already ordered.

5. Access and safe working

You agree to give us reasonable access to the property and to the areas we need to work in. Please let us know before we start about anything relevant to safety, such as asbestos, pets or restricted areas.

We keep our work areas tidy, use protective coverings where appropriate and remove our waste unless agreed otherwise.

6. Insurance and liability

We are fully insured. If something goes wrong because of our work, tell us as soon as possible and we will put it right.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or for damage caused by circumstances outside our control.

7. Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, contact us on 0117 2447 382 or info@bristolphoenixgroup.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve it quickly. As a NAPIT approved business, work that falls under the scheme is also backed by NAPIT's complaints procedures.

8. General

These terms, and any contract between us, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy, linked in the footer of every page.
